Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian for our healthcare & food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. The role includes assessing nutritional needs, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life for patients/residents. Typically 8–16 hours weekly.

Must hold a nutrition degree and pass the CDR exam or meet eligibility, with ongoing CE requirements and state licensure. Onsite position with growth opportunities and compliance to standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition preferred.
• CDR exam or eligibility per Academy standards.
• 75 hours CE every five years per CDR requirements.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to set up procedures and policies in dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
