Job summary

Elior North America is recruiting a PRN Registered Dietitian to join the healthcare/food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. You will assess patients’ nutritional needs, design interventions, and support quality of life, typically scheduling 8–16 hours per week.

You’ll collaborate with the care team, follow ND Standards and regulatory requirements, and help implement dining/nutrition procedures while contributing to quality-improvement efforts and ongoing education.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (pre-2024) or related field.
Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field.
Passed a national examination (CDR) or meets eligibility requirements.
Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years per CDR.
Licensed or certified per state requirements.
Knowledge of regulation standards for assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents.
Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards and facility regulations.
Collaborate with departments to set up procedures for dining and nutrition.
Participate in development and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
