Job summary

Elior North America is seeking a PRN Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare and food service team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. As a Registered Dietitian, you will identify and assess nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiate interventions, and enhance quality of life consistent with goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (or related field) required.
• Master’s degree in Nutrition or related field required.
• Passed a national exam by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or eligible per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years, per CDR.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies related to dining service and nutrition.
• Participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
