Job summary

Family & Children's Services in Oklahoma City is seeking a part-time paraprofessional to support behavioral health services. The role requires on-site work, travel, and a trauma-informed approach to crisis and recovery-oriented care.

Responsibilities include client intake, de-escalation, documenting services, coordinating with supervisors, and enabling access to community resources. Evening, weekend shifts may be required, with PRN coverage for calls and vacations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (required).
• Recovery from mental illness, substance use, or both is demonstrated.
• Able to read and write clinical notes clearly for medical records.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to agency policy and confidentiality standards.
• Supports recovery-focused services for individuals with co-occurring disorders.
• Responds to HOPE Crisis line and 988 dispatch calls to assist clients in crisis.
• Establishes rapport and provides face-to-face client services with de-escalation when needed.
• Maintains thorough documentation per agency policy and procedures.
• May provide client transportation or coverage for shifts as needed.
