Advocate Health is seeking a PRN X-ray Technician for radiographic examinations under radiologist supervision. The role includes coordinating daily procedures, quality imaging, and related clerical tasks within the department.

Required is a formal Radiology Technology program and ARRT registration (or eligibility with within-1-year hire). BLS certification is also required; prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a formal Radiology Technology Program in an AMA Approved facility required.
• Registered by the ARRT required OR if a New Graduate, must be registry eligible and must be registered within 1 year of hire date.
• 1 year of direct patient care work experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic examinations with minimal supervision under the direction of the Radiologist.
• Coordinates daily activities to include performing examinations and associated clerical duties.
• Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures and documents patient history on requisitions.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
