Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiographic equipment, position patients, and coordinate daily radiology workflows. The role includes performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, managing contrast administration, and ensuring accurate patient records and communications with the Radiology team.

The ideal candidate holds an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology degree, is BLS certified, and has 2 years of Rad Tech I experience in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• BLS certification required.
• 2 years’ Rad Tech I experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate all radiographic equipment and perform correct anatomic positioning.
• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Check requisitions for physician notes and consult with Radiologist as needed.
• Obtain medications, radiopharmaceuticals, or contrast materials as directed for administration by a licensed practitioner or qualified staff.
• Confirm patient identification and validate proof of identity.
• Record patient medical history for the procedure and document on requisition.
• Prepare and administer contrast media as required.
• Ensure procedure rooms are adequately supplied.
• Maintain patient medical records and verify correct exam is sent to Stentor.
• Coordinate daily activities and clerical duties.
