Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures under the guidance of a Radiologist. You will coordinate daily activity, ensure patient identification and safety, and assist with image acquisition and documentation.

The role requires ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology training, registry eligibility with completion within 1 year, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an institution accredited by ARRT recognizing Radiologic Technology.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
