Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide diagnostic imaging services in a busy hospital setting. The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program and ARRT registration or eligibility with a plan to become registered within 12 months of hire.

Must be able to maintain patient records accurately, follow radiation safety protocols, and participate in ongoing education while providing high-quality patient care. BCLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum six months experience as a diagnostic Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• One year experience with patients preferred.
• Registered and certified with the ARRT. Registry eligible and must become registered within 12 months of hire.
• BCLS (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment.
• Follows hospital/department policies; keeps informed about changes.
• Participates in in-service and educational offerings; contributes to quality of services.
• Performs/assists in diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures per state regulations for Radiation Protection.
• Maintains education and credentials; coordinates activities with others.
• Ensures readiness of emergency equipment and supplies; responds to emergencies.
