Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Florida seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce high-quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department and related areas, following department standards. You will ensure accurate patient identification, positioning, and documentation while maintaining safety and infection control.

Responsibilities include learning radiographic protocols, supervising staff as needed, and supporting continuous improvement and education of new team members.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Radiography program.
• Associates degree and one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
• Florida License in Radiography; ARRT registration in Radiography (R); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Produces high quality images for the Diagnostic Imaging department, we well as assigned areas including the operating department, pain management, and the gastrointestinal department that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Department.
• Completes records, information, and performs electronic entry accurately.
• Identifies patients using two patient identifiers, verifies order, and analyzes exam information.
• Demonstrates knowledge of anatomy, body habitus, and proper patient positioning for various imaging studies
• Utilizes resources available to achieve optimum exam.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and stocked work area.
• Provides and offers direct and indirect supervision and assistance as necessary.
