Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, part of Mission Health, is seeking a Pulmonary Stepdown Registered Nurse PRN to join our care team. The RN will deliver patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and care teams, focusing on pre- and post-operative needs and ensuring a safe patient experience.

You will assess patient status at admission and during shifts, perform procedures as ordered, document care in the medical record, administer prescribed medications, and stay

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS and BCLS within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor's degree or work experience in lieu of degree; or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition at admission and each shift; report changes.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of meds, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
