Job summary

North Pointe Nursing seeks a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to join our in-house rehab team. You will administer prescribed PT treatments and support residents in mobility and quality of life under a PT’s supervision.

The role emphasizes person-centered care, timely documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to adapt plans and improve outcomes for residents in a SNF setting.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current physical therapy practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information to the PT.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely, thorough documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
