Job summary

Hireology is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Active Texas PTA license and SNF or long-term care experience are preferred. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document thoroughly, and adapt plans of care as needed.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license is required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care is preferred.
• Familiarity with Net Health Electronic Documentation System is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled physical therapy services and interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Physical Therapist
• Implement and modify patients’ plans of care under PT supervision
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust approaches with the team as needed
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Ensure documentation is thorough and compliant with policies and regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
