Job summary

Twin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will help residents improve mobility, strength and quality of life under supervision of a Physical Therapist.

You will administer prescribed treatments, document progress, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in a SNF setting. Texas PTA license in good standing and SNF experience are preferred; Net Health Electronic Documentation

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to improve mobility and function
• Provide services under supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Report patient progress and communicate with the PT and team
• Modify plans of care under PT supervision as needed
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and movement changes
• Maintain thorough, compliant documentation
• Participate in team meetings and care planning
• Assist with patient and family education and support
• Attend required rehab department activities and reviews
