Job summary

Park Highlands Nursing seeks a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will administer prescribed PT treatments, assist residents to improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under a PT's supervision.

The role values teamwork, strong communication, and ongoing patient education, with emphasis on documentation and collaborative care across the interdisciplinary team in a SNF setting.

Qualifications

• Must have active Texas PTA license and current license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities or long-term care is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust interventions in collaboration with the team.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend required meetings designated by Rehab Director.
