Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will deliver medically prescribed PT to help residents improve mobility and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include documenting outcomes, communicating with the care team, and educating patients and families. A valid Texas PTA license and good standing are required; SNF experience is preferred, and Net

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• Good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation is thorough and timely per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
