Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis in Texas. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility and quality of life.

Administer prescribed therapies under PT supervision, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes. Texas PTA license active and in good standing are required; SNF experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function under PT supervision
• Provide skilled PTA services and interventions per physician orders
• Assist PT in implementing plans of care and modify as needed
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and functional status
• Document care thoroughly and in compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapy plans and home programs
• Attend required Rehab Department meetings and maintain documentation
