Job summary

Park-Highlands-Nursing- is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will assist with prescribed PT treatments and support residents in mobility and quality of life, under supervision of a PT.

Texas PTA license in good standing and strong communication skills are required. SNF experience and Net Health knowledge are preferred, with a flexible PRN schedule and a collaborative, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license in good standing.
• Registered with relevant regulatory bodies as required.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying needs and personalities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with policies and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
