Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a PRN in-house position at our Texas facility. You will administer prescribed PT treatments and support mobility and quality of life for residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Ideal candidates hold an active Texas PTA license, with SNF or long-term care exposure, and strong communication skills to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments under physician orders.
• Provide skilled PT services and interventions under PT supervision.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and modify patients’ plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust with interdisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical support and education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure documentation complies with policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
