Job summary

Creative Solutions In HealthCare is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team in Texas on a PRN basis. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed PT treatments, documenting progress, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license in good standing with the state licensing board.
• Experience with patient documentation and record-keeping.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience using Net Health EHR or similar systems.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide PT services under supervision of a PT.
• Relay information and referrals to the PT.
• Modify plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the team.
• Provide education to patients and caregivers.
• Ensure timely documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.
