Job summary
Oakmont Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Katy is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis. You will administer prescribed PT interventions, assist residents to improve mobility and function, and work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and thorough, compliant documentation.
Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license
- In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- SNF or long-term care experience preferred
- Current knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain and improve function
- Provide PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Relay information and referrals to the PT upon requests
- Modify care plans under PT supervision
- Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance
- Monitor patient response and adjust treatment with the team
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers
- Ensure timely, compliant documentation per company/state rules
- Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab
