Job summary

Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy is currently accepting applications for a PRN Pharmacist to support our Minnetonka, MN facility. The role involves verification, labeling, and order review in a fast-paced long-term care environment.

Preferred candidates have 1+ year in retail or long-term care pharmacy and hold a MN Pharmacist license. Excellent teamwork, de-escalation skills, and proficiency with MS Office are valued. This is a part-time PRN position with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
• Must possess a MN State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
• Order Entry experience is required.
• Experience supervising pharmacy techs
• Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
• Medical Records experience preferred.
• Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred.
• Positive personality who can work well within a team.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
• Reviews medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
• Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
• Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
• Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
• All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
