Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN PETCT Technologist to produce cross-sectional PET/CT images for diagnostic interpretation across a mobile coach, freestanding center, or hospital setting. The role emphasizes patient communication, safety, and attention to detail during radiopharmaceutical procedures and image acquisition.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, high-quality image production, collaboration with radiologists, training junior staff, and equipment troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• NMTCB Nuclear Medicine or ARRT Nuclear Medicine/PET certification.
• Current state license and CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Screen patients for contraindications and ensure radiation safety.
• Communicate with patients and radiologists to explain procedures.
• Train new technologists and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
