Job summary

Akumin is seeking PET/CT technologists to connect with patients, explain procedures and ensure comfort and safety while producing high-quality PET/CT images. The role supports work across freestanding centers, mobile coaches, or hospital facilities, offering flexibility to deliver imaging care at diverse access points.

You will interpret orders accurately, select imaging parameters, and demonstrate technical competence.

Qualifications

• Nuclear Medicine certification NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification required.
• 1-2 years’ Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and radiation safety with radioactive materials.
• Produce high quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PCs when needed.
• Troubleshoot the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment.
