Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN PET/CT Technologist to join our Phoenix, AZ mobile team. This flexible role involves occasional travel to support mobile sites across Arizona, ideal for a technologist who enjoys a dynamic, on-the-go schedule.

Our PET/CT technologists communicate clearly with patients, ensure comfort and safety, and select imaging parameters to deliver high-quality studies, enabling precise diagnoses and effective treatments.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N).
State license, as required.
CPR certification.
As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
Ability to work at several locations.
Strong customer service skills.
Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications and radiation safety documentation.
Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists.
Train new technologists and/or PC's.
Troubleshoot the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment.
