Job summary

Mercy Health’s Operating Room RN at Anderson Hospital provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care. You will collaborate with the surgical team, assess patient status, and coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative care to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires RN licensure, an accredited nursing degree, and current BLS/ACLS or PALS; CNOR and SGNA are preferred. This PRN/On-call position supports Mercy Health’s commitment to compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS or PALS certifications preferred at hire (must obtain if not held).
• CNOR certification is preferred, not required.
• SGNA certification preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care in the Operating Room (OR).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to ensure patient safety.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and coordinate perioperative care.
• Provide pre-op, intra-op and post-op care and discharge instructions.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment during surgery.
