Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a per diem Nursing Assistant (STNA) to support patient care across age groups under RN direction. The position requires that you have completed at least one nursing clinical rotation or be a current STNA, and you must be CPR-certified.

A PRN schedule involves working at least 24 hours over a 6-week cycle. The role includes direct patient care, mobility assistance, data gathering, and coordination with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a professional school of nursing and have completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical experience, or be within 90 days post graduation.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, toileting, grooming).
• Assist with mobility including ROM, lifting, turning, ambulation, and transport.
• Perform routine patient care duties under RN supervision; take vital signs, collect specimens, and apply dressings.
• Document and report pertinent patient information to the nursing team.
• Handle clerical duties such as phones, couriers, and patient equipment management.
