Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide foundational patient care under RN guidance. You will sanitize rooms, monitor vital signs, assist with feeding and grooming, and ensure high-quality patient service.

Evenings/Nights, 36 hours per week. BLS preferred; CNA/STNA or nursing program with clinical rotations may be required. EPIC EHR training available. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities included.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Experience in acute care, physician offices, home health/hospice or long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal care and mobility assistance.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in hand-off/report of pertinent information on arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Mobilize patients using safe transfer techniques.
• Encourage patients to perform tasks independently where possible.
• Individualize care based on patient interests and hobbies.
