Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a PACU Nurse PRN to join their post-anesthesia care team. You will provide immediate post-operative care, monitor patient status, and collaborate with the surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.

The role requires an RN license, ACLS and BLS within specified timelines, and a minimum of one year in a critical care environment (ICU/ER/PACU). The position may involve on-call hours and a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• RN licensure is required for practice
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience (ICU/ER/PACU) preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the PACU setting
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure patient safety
• Apply the nursing process and clinical judgment for post-operative care
• Monitor patient condition and document changes and care provided
• Educate patients and families about post-operative care and follow-up
