Job summary

Hospice of the Bluegrass Inc seeks a PACE Transportation Driver to provide direct transportation for participants to and from homes, the PACE Center, and medical providers. This PRN role covers Lexington (LEX) and Frankfort (FFT) regions, requiring strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safety.

The position requires a KY driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience, CPR certification, and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Must be at least 18 with a KY driver’s license and 2+ years of driving experience.
At least 1 year of passenger transportation experience.
Experience with mobility-impaired or training on arrival may be required.
Experience with frail or elderly populations or training upon hire.
CPR certification required.
Good reading/writing comprehension.
No positive drug or alcohol test (pre-employment, random, etc.).
Limit of 2 moving traffic violations in 36 months; no DUI in last 5 years.
Strong communication and ability to interact with participants, caregivers, IDT, and staff.

Responsibilities

Transport PACE participants to and from homes, PACE Center, and medical appointments.
Interact consistently with participants, caregivers, and program staff to ensure safety and comfort.
Maintain accurate transportation records and documentation as required.
