Avante at Inverness, FL is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide OT services to residents under the supervision of an OT.

You will assist in assessment, treatment planning and implementation, documentation, and communication with residents, families, and the care team. This role supports ongoing resident care in a skilled nursing setting.

• Document daily care per established guidelines.
• Communicate response to treatment to residents, family and team.

Qualifications:

• Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by supervising therapist
• Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
• Ability to effectively communicate response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Successful completion of the National Certification for O.T.A.
• Current state licensure or license eligible.
• 0-3 years of long-term care experience.

Background Screening Requirement:

This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
