Job summary

Avondale Health and Rehab is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team in Tennessee. The COTA will plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in accordance with current standards and under the direction of the Administrator to ensure high-quality resident care.

We offer a $2000 sign-on bonus for full-time, flexible scheduling or Per Diem PRN opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• TN OTA licensure.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services per regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular resident screenings to determine interventions.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans and short/long-term goals.
• Document evaluation findings, plans, and communications with residents and families.
• Schedule therapy sessions and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure CMS documentation standards and proper billing for services.

Job description

Avondale Health and Rehab is seeking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Therapy Team. As a COTA you will be responsible to plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. Plus, we're offering a $2000 Sign-On Bonus for FT.

Status: Full-Time with flexibility or Per Diem PRN

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications
