Optum, through Louisiana HomeCare of Raceland, is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (PRN) to deliver in-home therapy services and restore patients to their fullest physical abilities. You will work under a supervising OT to implement plan-of-care and document patient progress.

The role requires LA licensure as an OTA, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years of end-user experience in occupational therapy; CPR is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• LA: Must have 2+ years of experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Preferred: CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Aufgaben

• Following all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, to follow the treatment set only as defined by the supervising OT
• Following the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants
• Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
