TriStar Horizon Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN Progressive Care to join our team. The Nurse Extern delivers high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a registered nurse and is currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

This role requires BLS, a high school diploma or GED, and eligibility for Nurse Extern after first nursing semester; nonviolent crisis intervention within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required and current.
• Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
• Can be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first semester of RN program.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care for patient populations in the department.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while upholding patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in the appropriate computer screens.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) for assigned patients.
