Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN for the ED. The extern provides patient-centered care under RN supervision, performing delegated basic tasks and supporting the care team. You must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, maintain good standing, and obtain BLS.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Candidates may be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first RN program semester.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks.
• Document patient care information in the appropriate computer screens.
