TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Nursing Extern to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with ADLs, document care, and communicate patient needs while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, hold a current BLS, and have a high school diploma or GED. The role starts with training and may lead to higher responsibilities as competency grows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification, current.
• Student enrolled in accredited RN nursing program.
• Can be considered after first nursing semester or CNA in first RN semester.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate care for patient populations served.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in appropriate computer screens.
• Assist with ADLs for assigned patients.
