Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare family, invites qualified nursing students to join as Nurse Extern PRN. You will assist with delegated basic patient care under the supervision of an RN, contributing to a safe and organized patient environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, documentation, and collaboration with the nursing team, while advancing your clinical competency through real-world practice in a large hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
• BLS certification current (obtained/maintained within time frames required by hospital policy).
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care under RN supervision.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in the computer screens.
• Assist with activities of daily living for assigned patients.

Education
