Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Plantation, Aventura and Coral Springs facilities. You will perform diagnostic imaging using radiopharmaceuticals and PET/PET-CT as needed, ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance.

This role requires flexibility to cover shifts within a 30-day window and across sites. Qualifications include NMTCB/ARRT(N), state license if required, CPR/BLS, and ability to work at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• NMTCB or ARRT (N) certification.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR/BLS (AHA or ARC); ACLS where applicable.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain diagnostic exams following physician orders.
• Demonstrate competency in radiopharmaceutical administration and vascular access.
• Maintain quality standards and HIPAA confidentiality; document radiation exposure.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists; train new staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.
