Job summary

Akumin is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging using radiopharmaceuticals at Plantation, Aventura and Coral Springs facilities. The role requires flexibility to cover shifts across locations and respond to coverage requests, with a focus on patient safety and image quality.

You will work with PET/CT and other nuclear medicine modalities, maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation, while supporting radiologists and physicians in delivering

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate safety and quality in radiopharmaceutical handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures (including PET/PET-CT) with radiopharmaceuticals.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and IV access when needed.
• Operate and interpret images using EMR, PACS and DICOM systems.
• Maintain equipment and ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to ensure image quality.
