Job summary

Chambers Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Tech for a PRN role serving Mont Belvieu and Anahuac locations. You will perform routine laboratory testing, maintain equipment, and ensure accuracy in patient sample processing.

Ideal candidates hold an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Biology, or Chemistry and can work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor\'s in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Record daily temperatures for equipment and laboratory area; troubleshoot deviations.
• Maintain reagent and supply inventory.
• Perform preventive maintenance for equipment and instrumentation.
• Follow safety guidelines and assist in collection of patient samples as requested by physician.
• Process all samples and perform in-house testing according to written laboratory procedures.
• Perform all laboratory tests with accuracy and efficiency adhering to Good Laboratory Practice standards.
• Report out all results of tests performed and verify and sign prior to release for charting.
