Job summary

Chambers County Public Hospital District No 1 is seeking a phlebotomy technician to train staff on BAT and DOT collection, calibrate machines, and ensure DOT compliance across multiple Chambers Health locations (Anahuac, Dayton, Mont Belvieu).

You will handle specimen collection, processing, and data entry under supervision, while maintaining a high standard of patient service and safety. Experience with CPSI LIS and ECW is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to train new phlebotomy staff for BAT and DOT collections.
• Maintain BAT/DOT certifications and machine calibration/maintenance.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees for phlebotomy duties including BAT and DOT collection.
• Maintain and verify BAT machine calibration and maintenance.
• Order supplies for BAT and UDS collection.
• Ensure DOT regulatory compliance and up-to-date guidelines.
• Handle specimen processing and LIS data entry under supervision.
• Receive, process and distribute laboratory specimens and paperwork.
• Maintain professional appearance and patient service standards.
• Support inventory and lab safety procedures.
