Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Medical Lab Technician (PRN) to perform routine and complex diagnostic tests on blood and body fluids, adhere to QC standards, and maintain equipment. The role supports timely patient diagnosis and requires strong attention to regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with healthcare teams, assist with phlebotomy as needed, document results, and ensure safety with PPE.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate Degree or military Medical Laboratory Specialist training.
• 0-2 years acute care laboratory experience.
• MLT certification through ASCP/AMT/AAB/HEW or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high-complexity tests accurately and efficiently.
• Maintains quality control and properly documents results.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments and performs preventative maintenance.
• Collects, processes and documents chain-of-custody urine drug screens as required.
• Collaborates with healthcare professionals and assists with phlebotomy as needed.
• Keeps accurate records and complies with regulatory standards.
