Penn Medicine in Philadelphia's Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine seeks a full-time Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and the care team. The MA will prepare patients, perform phlebotomy, document in EMR, and assist with exams and minor procedures onsite.

Responsibilities include coordinating care with specialists, handling specimens, and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment. Required HS diploma and MA program completion with MA certification within 90 days.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a Penn Medicine approved Medical Assistant program or higher
• MA Certification required within 90 days of hire
• 18+ months of related healthcare experience may be considered in lieu of MA program
• 1+ year clinical support experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Promptly rooms patients and records vitals and history in EMR
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed
• Assist with EKGs and outpatient screening tests
• Administer prescribed medications and vaccines under supervision
• Support procedures and maintain sterile field
• Coordinate care with nurses, specialists, and labs
