Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging procedures, including DEXA, in Richmond, VA. This PRN position supports imaging services with a focus on quality and patient care.

The role requires ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology and mammography credential, advanced modality registration preferred within 1 year, and adherence to MQSA/ACR/ARRT guidelines for safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography preferred or must obtain within 1 year.
• State licensure preferred where applicable.
• BLS required at hire for certain locations; preferred prior to independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique.
• Correlates patient's history with procedure and documents for licensed provider.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during all procedures.
• Provides patient education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in departmental quality assessments and improvement plans.
