Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Respiratory Care Practitioner II at Anderson Hospital to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and education. The role involves supervision duties as a shift Charge Therapist and collaboration with physicians and staff to optimize patient outcomes.

You should have a Bachelor’s related degree, NBRC credentialing, an active Respiratory Care License, and ACLS/BLS. EPIC EHR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to effectively interact with patients, their families, physicians, and other staff members.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of chest X-ray interpretation and chest suction equipment.
• EPIC EHR training is preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional is required.

Responsibilities

• May serve as the shift “Charge Therapist” with responsibility of ensuring adequate number of respiratory care staff to cover patient care areas and needs.
• Performs CPR including ACLS protocol.
• Administers prescribed respiratory therapies and educates patients.
• Maintains and troubleshoots respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Responds to cardio-pulmonary emergencies as needed.
