Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL needs a Lactation Consultant RN to support breastfeeding education and private consultations across multiple AdventHealth facilities. This PRN role travels to AdventHealth Orlando, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, Winter Garden, and Celebration to reach families in need.

You will lead prenatal breastfeeding classes, answer the breastfeeding help line, and provide resources while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote the Whole Person Well-being approach.

Qualifications

RN with active Florida license and BLS certification.
Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) required.
Experience in lactation consulting and hospital settings.
Willingness to travel to AdventHealth facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide private breastfeeding consultations across centers.
Answer the breastfeeding help line and support weekly mother/baby luncheons.
Sell breastfeeding products and educate clients on resources and policies.
Plan and present prenatal breastfeeding classes and evaluate programs for improvements.
Provide accurate information to clients about breastfeeding and company policies.
Attend staff meetings and stay updated on the latest research in lactation.
