Job summary

Cardinal Health manages inpatient pharmacy services for PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point. We are hiring a PRN pharmacy technician to work as needed during facility hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm).

The Technician II assists the Pharmacist in daily operations, handles prescription processing, inventory, and customer communications, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes supporting pharmacists, maintaining safety, and contributing to timely order

Qualifications

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Ohio State Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain license.
National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
IV compounding experience preferred.
In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Pharmacy buying/purchasing experience preferred.
Pyxis experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously and maintain focus.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
May require vendor credentialing.

Responsibilities

Assists the Pharmacist as needed, permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items.
Communicates with customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
