Job summary

Cardinal Health is recruiting a PRN Pharmacist for the Health System Pharmacy at PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point. The role covers facility hours and on-call duties, with a Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm schedule and after-hours on-call as needed.

The Pharmacist II verifies orders, adjusts dosages per protocols, educates patients, and supervises technicians to ensure compliant operations and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
• Licensed, good standing pharmacist in the state of Ohio.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts.
• Ability to work on call or be in an on call rotation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician orders using the pharmacy information system.
• Supervises Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
• Adjusts dosages per established protocols and contributes to antimicrobial stewardship.
• Educates patients on proper use of medications, especially during discharge.
• Manages narcotics and inventory control and compliance.
• Assists the Pharmacy Director in maintaining accreditation and implementing changes.
