Job summary

Cardinal Health manages inpatient pharmacy services for PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point. We are recruiting a PRN Pharmacist to work as needed during facility hours and on-call.

The facility operates 8:00am–4:30pm, with after-hours and weekend on-call as needed. The Pharmacist II verifies physician orders, adjusts doses per protocols, educates patients, and oversees Pharmacy Technicians to ensure compliant operations and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist must hold an Ohio license in good standing.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts and be on-call.
• Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare professionals.
• Must be computer savvy to operate multiple pharmacy systems."

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and adjust per protocol.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and ensure compliant operations.
• Manage narcotics control and inventory; complete checklists.
• Educate patients on medications and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to verify orders.
