Job summary

Cardinal Health manages inpatient pharmacy services for PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point. We are currently hiring for a full time pharmacy technician to work during facility hours Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

The Technician II, Health Systems Pharmacy helps the Pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including prescription preparation, inventory, and processing returns. All orders are reviewed by a registered pharmacist and recorded per regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ohio State Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain license.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) required.
• IV compounding experience required.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacy buying/purchasing experience preferred.
• Pyxis experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist as needed, permitted by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy information management system.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves and removes out-of-date items from the inventory.
• Communicates with all customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Maintains knowledge of and abides by all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
