Job summary

Cardinal Health manages inpatient pharmacy services for PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of South Point. We are hiring for a full-time pharmacy technician to work weekdays, 8:00am–4:30pm.

The Technician II supports the Pharmacist in daily operations, including filling prescriptions, inventory, and processing returns. The role requires license/certification with hospital experience and strong communication skills; Pyxis and purchasing experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ohio State Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain license.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
• IV compounding experience preferred.
• In-patient hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Pharmacy buying/purchasing experience preferred.
• Pyxis experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Pharmacist as needed per state boards.
• Maintains a safe, clean pharmacy by following procedures and regulations.
• Inputs patient data and prescription info into the pharmacy system.
• Takes inventory, places orders, checks in drugs and supplies, stocks shelves.
• Communicates with customers in a pleasant and professional manner.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy laws and company guidelines.
